My
passion for design began with a BFA degree from Alfred University.
During my undergraduate studies I concentrated in painting and
graphic design, developing my interests for both commercial and
conceptual art-making. Studying abroad in Florence, Italy, allowed
me to experience new cultures, grow as an artist, and sightsee
throughout Europe. In the following years, I continued traveling
with residencies in Barcelona, Spain and Adelaide, Australia.
While living in Australia my enthusiasm for food and wine began
to grow. I worked at the central markets selling organic produce
and developed my palate by sampling new cuisine and visiting local
vineyards. It was only natural to secure a career that would link
my education and hobbies.
I have
found a well-suited niche as the Art Director for a food, wine,
and spirits magazine and have learned more about the industry
through work experience, an education in food styling, and continual
exposure to food and beverage. It is my intention to remain in
the field and to secure a new position that will fuel my creativity.
I currently divide my time between Bennington, VT and Monterey,
MA. On most Saturdays you'll probably find me baking or cooking
at home, shopping at Guido's, or skiing in the Berkshires.
